Alibaba.com<1688>, a leading B2B e-commerce portal in China, said on Monday that it would cooperate with Home Inn, the largest budget chain hotel in China.
The cooperation will allow Alibaba to further promote its latest strategic e-commerce product, Winport, through Home Inn's comprehensive network, which comprises over 400 hotels in 90 Chinese cities.
Currently, Home Inn has registered members of more than 1 million across the country, of which 40% are from small and medium enterprises (SMEs), which Winport targets at. Home Inn's qualified SME members are able to access Alibaba's Winport services through a green passage.
The cooperation is part of Alibaba's overall strategy of building a complete ecological industry chain in e-commerce, and it is estimated more companies from different industries may join in the integration.
